Director of Marketing

Bridgeline has an immediate opening for a Director of Marketing who will work out of our Woodbuy, NY office. The Director of Marketing will be responsible for marketing Bridgeline’s broad software product portfolio and related professional services.

As Director of Marketing, you will lead our efforts to build a trusted user brand and pursue new growth opportunities. We are seeking a teammate with 5+ years of relevant marketing experience within MarTech. We will be evaluating your track record of building and scaling marketing efforts as well as your experience managing high-performing teams. A quantitative approach to understanding and measuring marketing initiatives will also enable success in this role. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, lead generation, writing and communication abilities combined with sound knowledge of content management, eCommerce and digital marketing applications.

In this role, you will lead the company's strategic marketing efforts—including campaign generation and execution, content marketing, targeted ads, events, PR and all marketing collateral —through the following responsibilities:


  • Deeply understand Bridgeline product offerings, how they address customer needs as well as key differentiators to evolve vertical positioning in the marke
  • Work in lockstep with executive team to align objectives and improve sales processes including messaging, material verticalization, use case development and case studies.
  • Develop content marketing strategy to leverage our position as a thought leader
  • Coordinate email, marketing automation, social media, retargeting campaigns to prospects and customers
  • Manage SEO & PPC efforts to increase brand awareness and drive traffic
  • Lead generation, pipeline funnel, lead scoring, and lead nurture to generate marketing qualified leads for the sales team to engage and convert.
  • Sales enablement, opportunity creation, and pipeline acceleration programs
  • Implement, manage, and maintain Marketing Automation and CRM software solutions
  • Create and manage all marketing collateral and content development
  • Hands on experience in graphic design with Adobe Creative Suite preferred
  • Manage third-party marketing relationships, contracts and budget
  • Draft and publish company press releases and blog posts
  • Promote product marketing launches and related post launch marketing
  • Manage and coordinate conferences & trade shows
  • Measure key marketing metrics with an eye for continuous improvements and efficiencies
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations on marketing impact for the Management team and Board
  • Manage brand integrity and awareness
  • Team recruitment and development

Experience Required

  • Minimum 5 or more years of marketing experience at a high growth company in a related industry
  • Experience with a SaaS B2B company preferred, particularly in Marketing technology, AI, or eCommerce
  • Sound knowledge of content management, digital marketing, web analytics, social media and ecommerce applications.
  • Strong people leadership capabilities that inspire, manage performance and develop talent
  • Proven leadership experience carrying out marketing efforts, including planning, prioritizing, and implementing defined corporate strategies that include lead generation, target market coverage, sentiment, and referenceable customers
  • Strong communication skills, including press and agency relationships for PR and thought leadership distribution
  • Strong work ethic and can-do attitude, along with ability to work independently
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in marketing or related discipline; MBA preferred but not required .
