Founded in 1994 and based in Washington, DC, iapps is an award-winning web development firm specializing in online solutions within the philanthropic and nonprofit sector.iapps has developed an extensive library of database-driven web applications to support the online publishing, collaboration and community-building needs of its clients. Software modules include: logic-based survey tools, discussion boards, resource libraries, calendaring, email newsletter tools, user management, online registration, and more. Miles Fawcett, President of iapps division: Mr. Fawcett is the founder of iapps and has served as its president since 1994. Mr. Fawcett was the creator and lead developer of iapps' web development platform, Orgitecture®, which enabled nonprofit enterprises to manage complex, database-driven web properties without the need for dedicated webmasters or skilled IT professionals. His diverse background includes: online publishing, documentary filmmaking and the visual arts. Mr. Fawcett served two years on the faculty of American University Graduate School of Communications.

Alf Gracombe, Vice President of Delivery for the iapps division: Since 1997 Mr. Gracombe has overseen iapps' product development and delivery methodology, and along with Mr. Fawcett, created iapps' web development platform. With expertise in web application and database development, Mr. Gracombe also lead the development of community [apps]™, an ASP-based web service that enables social enterprises to cost-effectively deploy and maintain secure intranets and extranets.

David Goldsmith, Vice President of Business Development for the iapps division: Mr. Goldsmith joined iapps in 1997 to oversee the company's expansion into the nonprofit and philanthropic sector. Prior to joining iapps, Mr. Goldsmith was director of development for HandsNet, one of the first online services in the US dedicated to serving social enterprises. As a member of HandsNet's management team, Mr. Goldsmith was responsible for marketing the organization and expanding its subscriber base, which grew from 250 nonprofits in 1990 to more than 5,000 in 1997. Mr. Goldsmith has over 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, including fundraising, technology consulting, and online community building.
